My husband, the plumber

Nate sure showed off last month!  In just an afternoon, he replaced the toilet in our guest bathroom.  It was an exciting day for him because he bought the dual-flush toilet he had been longing for from his favorite store in the world... yes, Costco.

Here's a shot of our bathroom in it's "before" state with the 25 year old toilet. Also note how low the toilet paper roll is to the ground!  We'll be fixing that at a later date :)

I am SO proud of him!  We have now purchased another toilet for the half bath on the main floor and are planning to finish this guest bathroom soon with paint, new fixtures and a new mirror.  Homeowning is fun! :)

  1. It’s nice to know that he has a background in plumbing. I on the other hand was forced to learn how to fix plumbing issues. Back when I was in high school, we had a class called “Plumbing 101”. I have to admit I hated that class and I wanted to skip it every chance I get. I finished it though and never looked back. After several years, what I learned turned out to be helpful. Now, we can fix many plumbing troubles in our home for free!

  3. You’re very lucky to have a husband that knows a thing or two in plumbing. It is indeed convenient because you can save a lot of money by doing repairs by yourselves. I would suggest that you seek professional help from time to time because it really does pay off, and your husband could further expand his knowledge by simply watching them work.
