A Snowy Weekend in Denver

We've been dying to spend some time with our friends, the Rosenfels family, in Denver for awhile now and have had to reschedule a few times for a variety of reasons. The night before our trip, Denver receive 12+ inches of snow which resulted in a cancelled flight for us :(

Nate and I decided to give Southwest Airlines a call and to our surprise, we had a wonderful customer service experience and they rebooked us for a direct flight later in the day.  Luck was on our side and we ended up being on the first flight to land in Denver!

After giving Kellan a few gifts I couldn't resist (among them, the Buckeyes from Graeter's in Cincinnati were a hit!), he went to Uncle Chris' for the evening.  Nate and I had a double date with Jenny and Jaffa in a cute area called Louisville (pronounced "Lewis-ville") in a restaurant called Waterloo that was dedicated to Johnny Cash.  Great food and great friends!

The rest of the weekend we spend time together cooking, playing with Kellan and catching up with this wonderful friends.

Such a great family and we look forward to the news in a couple of months when they welcome Baby #2!!
